My grounding
I have spent the last 15 years developing as a practitioner; a physician and a racial justice advocate. I have worked in direct clinical care, public health, policy and advocacy, and as an Executive Director of a small nonprofit.
I believe in a racial justice practice that centers the belief that racism impacts people’s health and that current structures and systems continue to maintain these inequities.
With an active anti-racism practice, my work is led by analyses and frameworks created by and for communities who face the greatest health inequities; in my work I always seeks to treat the root cause of illness and health disparities.
